I am Mike, from Shenzhen, China. I am the Founder of SourcingXpro, A leading China sourcing agent company. Our value is to help more overseas customers buy from China easily and cost-effectively. We help you find reliable, verified suppliers and ship quality items to your country’s seaport or directly to your warehouse.

Why did I build this company?

China is so big; you can find thousands of suppliers online, like Alibaba, Made in China, the Canton Fair, or the HK Global Sources Fair. At the same time, we can still take some risks and learn from experience, and consider cultural differences when we find the right supplier to buy high-quality products. My major is international economics and trade, so I decided to build a company to offer an all-in-one sourcing service to help importers source from China efficiently, especially for startups and small businesses. I hope one day, when I go to Reddit, I can not find that there are a lot of scam help posts and can not get a refund for Alibaba posts.

Where does the story begins?

I was born in Henan, Lingbao. My hometown is Henan, Lingbao. They are famous for Apples (not Steve Jobs’ Apple), just fruit Apples. After graduating from college, I went to Shenzhen and started doing foreign trade business. After several years, I built SourcingXpro in 2016, 04.20

We are starting to get inquiries from our website and Alibaba, as well as from long-term customers, both by recommendation from an old supplier.

By 2025, our company will have over 50 teammates and help 4000+ clients from 50+ countries. And we also go to the EU, HK, and Russia to meet your customers face-to-face, build trust, and help them grow faster.

What have I learned from starting up 10 years ago?

After serving 4,000+ customers, our company has grown. We have a different team to make various platforms. Let me make a list about what we have learn from the startup.

  1. Focus, Less is more. To grow faster, we have built some teams to handle Temu and AliExpress. This is not related to our mission, and it is also not a good business model. So we start from 2022 and stop in 2023. We have learn from TEMU and Aliexpress that our sourcing team can easily find products for our customers.
  2. Customer first: getting new customers through new inquiries is essential, while serving existing customers is more important.
  3. What’s your company’s mission and values? Our value is to help customers import from China easily and save time and money. Help them avoid scram and risk. When we start a new business, it aligns with our values and mission.
  4. Long-term. Slow is fast. Build a long-term mindset. We have been serving our customers for 10 years, and building our sourcingXpro brand is not a big project like the Alibaba platform. We keep growing to help more young business people like you.
